How does the Toujours process work?
Choose the piece that feels right for you, and we’ll send you a Toujours Collection Kit with everything needed to prepare and send your keepsake material.
Once it arrives safely with us, your piece begins its handmade journey. When it is complete, it will be thoughtfully prepared and sent home to you, made to stay close.
A few parts of the experience are intentionally left for you to discover along the way.
Can I create a keepsake if my pet is still with me?
Absolutely. Toujours is not only about remembrance. Many of our pieces are created simply to celebrate the bond you share today. A small amount of your pet’s fur or hair can be preserved in a handmade piece you can keep close for years to come.
What can I send for my keepsake?
Depending on the piece you choose, we may work with pet hair, fur, ashes, or other approved keepsake material. Each product page will indicate which materials are suitable for that particular design.
How much fur or ashes should I send?
For Fur
Gently place a loose, dime-sized bundle of clean, dry fur into the provided plastic zip lock bag. For very short or fine fur, please include a little extra.
For Ashes
Place approximately ½ - 1 teaspoon of ashes into the provided plastic zip lock bag.
How do you keep my pet’s material safe and separate?
Every collection is connected to an individual customer order and handled separately throughout our process. We use identification and handling procedures designed to keep each customer’s keepsake material associated with the correct piece from receipt through production.
We understand that what you entrust to us may be irreplaceable, and we treat it accordingly.
Is every piece handmade? Will mine look exactly like the photos?
Every personalized Toujours piece is individually handcrafted.
Because natural fur, hair, ashes, and handcrafted resin have their own textures, colors, and movement, no two pieces will ever look exactly alike. Small differences in placement, transparency, density, and finish are part of what makes each piece uniquely yours.
Our product photographs are intended to show the overall design and character of each piece rather than guarantee an identical result.
How long will my keepsake take to make?
Production begins after your keepsake material has arrived safely with us and has been prepared for your order.
Because every piece is made individually, timing varies depending on the design and craftsmanship involved. The estimated production time for each product will be listed on its product page.
Occasionally, we may take a little longer if we believe a component should be remade or refined before it comes home to you. We would rather give a personal piece the time it needs than rush the process.
How should I care for my Toujours jewelry?
Keepsake jewelry should be treated gently, particularly pieces containing a handcrafted resin centerpiece.
To help preserve your piece:
- Keep it away from prolonged water exposure.
- Remove it before showering, swimming, exercising, cleaning, or sleeping.
- Avoid perfume, lotion, hairspray, alcohol, household cleaners, and other chemicals.
- Avoid prolonged direct sunlight and excessive heat.
- Protect the resin centerpiece from scratches, drops, and impact against hard surfaces.
- Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after wearing.
- Store separately in its box or pouch when not in use.
- Do not use ultrasonic cleaners, steam cleaners, or abrasive polishing products on the resin portion.

Will you use my pet’s photos or story on your website or social media?
Not without permission.
Anything you tell us about your pet as part of creating your keepsake is treated as part of your private customer experience. Sharing a photograph, memory, or story with us does not automatically give Toujours permission to publish it.
If we would ever like to feature your pet in our Stories or other public content, we will ask for your permission separately.
From the moment your collection package arrives to the day your finished piece finds its way home, every step is approached with care, patience, and respect.
Your Toujours Piece Care
Your Toujours piece is made to be worn and treasured. A little care will help protect both the jewelry and the handcrafted keepsake centerpiece so it can stay beautiful over time.
Please Do
- Remove your piece before showering, swimming, exercising, or sleeping.
- Put jewelry on after perfume, lotion, hairspray, and other beauty products have fully dried.
- Gently wipe the piece with a soft, dry cloth after wearing.
- Store it in a cool, dry place away from prolonged direct sunlight and heat.
- Keep it separate from other jewelry to help prevent scratches.
- Handle the centerpiece gently when putting the piece on or taking it off.
- If your jewelry gets wet, dry it gently as soon as possible.
Please Avoid
- Prolonged contact with water or moisture.
- Perfume, alcohol, hand sanitizer, household cleaners, acetone, or other harsh chemicals.
- Leaving your piece in direct sunlight, high heat, or inside a hot car for extended periods.
- Ultrasonic or steam cleaners.
- Abrasive polishing cloths or harsh jewelry cleaners on the centerpiece.
- Scratching, dropping, bending, or placing heavy pressure on the piece.
- Wearing it during activities where it may be repeatedly rubbed, struck, or exposed to sweat and water.

Like any handcrafted piece, your Toujours keepsake may naturally develop subtle signs of wear over time. Gentle handling and mindful storage will help preserve the metal finish, clarity, and delicate details of your piece.
